Phoenix Bay State Construction constructed the ten story limestone and granite façade of this 365,000 square foot facility located just west of Kendall Square in Cambridge Ma. Phoenix was responsible for not only the masonry work but aided in the development and construction of a very complex air /vapor barrier system.

Phoenix was responsible for the design, development and procurement of the multi stone façade. The procurement and importing of materials required visits to Spain and Portugal to manage the stone fabrication and delivery. Phoenix worked with the Owners to oversee the quality control and aesthetic values of the stone. The specified tolerances for vein direction and color coordination of each stone were very narrow. Phoenix also oversaw the criteria for acceptance of stone as it was installed on the building. The end result is a beautiful building utilizing a very complimentary mix of the Spanish and Portuguese stone. The project was completed on time and within budget.
