Dana Farber Cancer Institute

In this unique addition to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, located on Brookline Avenue in Boston, Phoenix performed various and intricate masonry tasks. Phoenix removed and reconfigured the existing granite panels from the adjacent Smith Building to allow a new, multi-storied bridge to connect the new building with the old.

Phoenix installed the granite cladding at several locations including numerous columns at ground level, walls at the new garage entrance and also installed numerous CMU partition walls at all levels of the new garage.

Phoenix was proud to receive the “Best in Class Safety Award” in acknowledgment of excellence in safety and health performance. The award was issued in recognition of zero OSHA recordable violations and zero general liability incidents for the duration of the project consisting of our 15,700 safe work hours.

Both Dana Farber and Phoenix were especially proud of the stone work at the ‘Thea and James Stoneham Healing Garden’ which is Located on the 3rd floor. The Healing Garden is a one of kind, indoor sanctuary complete stone walls rising two stories and masonry entwined landscaping.

Phoenix continues to service Dana Farber with a multitude of projects across their campuses throughout the Boston area.  Projects include Parking Garage and Sidewalk Repairs, Interior Sealants as well as New and Restoration Construction.
